5 Things Worth Spending Money On as a Grade 11 Student

 by Alfranz Alcaide

Being a Grade 11 student means balancing schoolwork, extracurricular activities, and personal life. While it’s important to save money, some purchases are worth the investment because they make studying easier, improve productivity, and help us stay prepared. Here are five things that I believe are worth spending money on as a Grade 11 student.

1. CapCut Pro

CapCut Pro is a great tool for creating high-quality videos for school projects, presentations, and social media content. It offers advanced editing features, effects, and templates that can make any project look more professional while saving time.

2. Sterling Binder Notebook

A Sterling Binder Notebook helps keep notes neat and organized. Since the pages can be arranged or replaced, it’s easier to separate subjects and review lessons whenever exams or quizzes are coming up.

3. Pocket WiFi

Reliable internet is essential for research, completing assignments, and attending online classes. A Pocket WiFi provides a stable internet connection wherever you go, making it easier to stay productive even when public Wi-Fi is unavailable.

4. Waterproof Backpack

A waterproof backpack is more than just a school bag—it protects valuable belongings from unexpected rain and spills. It keeps notebooks, gadgets, and other school essentials safe while offering comfort and durability for everyday use. With a quality backpack, students can travel to school with confidence, knowing their belongings are protected.

5. JBL Tune 770NC

The JBL Tune 770NC is an excellent choice for students who need a quiet and focused study environment. Its active noise cancellation helps block distractions, while its long battery life and comfortable design make it perfect for long study sessions, online classes, and listening to educational content. It also provides high-quality sound, making learning more enjoyable and effective.

Conclusion

Making smart purchases can have a positive impact on a student’s academic journey. These five items improve productivity, organization, and convenience, helping Grade 11 students stay prepared for both school and personal activities. Instead of spending money on temporary wants, investing in tools that support learning is a decision that pays off in the long run.

From Budol to Best Buy: 5 Things Every Senior High School Student Should Actually Spend Money On

by Xzandra T. Villafuerte

As a senior high school student, I've learned one important lesson: not everything that's trending is worth buying. Every allowance day feels like a battle. Should I save it? Buy coffee? Add another item to my cart because it's "on sale"? Before I know it, my money is gone, and I'm left wondering where it all went. After months of juggling school requirements, late-night study sessions, and countless group projects, I realized that the best purchases aren't always the flashiest, they're the ones that make everyday student life easier.

These are the five things I never regret spending my money on. They've helped me become more organized, productive, and prepared for whatever school throws at me. If you're looking for investments that are actually worth it, this list is for you.

1. Canva Pro – The Secret Behind My School Projects

Let's be honest, almost every school activity requires some kind of presentation, infographic, poster, or publication material. And if you're the "creative one" in your friend group, you're probably always assigned to design everything. That's why Canva Pro has become one of my favorite investments. It gives me access to thousands of premium templates, graphics, fonts, and editing tools that make every project look polished and professional. Instead of spending hours searching for free design elements, I can focus on making my content better. It also saves me during last-minute deadlines because I can create quality presentations in a fraction of the time.

2. Deli G122 BK Pen – My Everyday School Essential

You don't realize how important a good pen is until you're halfway through a quiz and your pen suddenly decides to stop working. After trying different brands, I found myself constantly reaching for the Deli G122 BK Pen. It writes smoothly, feels comfortable to hold, and doesn't easily skip or smudge. Since I spend hours taking notes, writing reviewers, and answering quizzes, having a reliable pen makes a surprising difference. Sometimes it's the smallest school supplies that improve your everyday routine the most.

3. iPad Air M3 – My Study Buddy

The iPad Air M3 is definitely the biggest investment on this list, but it's also one of the best decisions I've made for school. Instead of carrying multiple notebooks, printed reviewers, and loose papers, I now keep almost everything in one device. I can write digital notes, annotate PDFs, organize my subjects into folders, watch educational videos, and attend online classes whenever needed. Studying also became much more convenient because I can easily search my notes instead of flipping through countless notebook pages. Although it's expensive, I see it as a long-term investment that I'll continue using even in college.

4. BAGSMART Tote Bag – Because Organization Matters

Before getting my BAGSMART Tote Bag, my old school bag felt like a black hole. My pen, charger, keys, and even my ID somehow disappeared inside it every single day. Now, everything has its own compartment. The tote bag has enough space for my iPad, notebooks, charger, wallet, and other daily essentials while still looking clean and stylish. It's lightweight, practical, and durable enough for everyday use.

5. Victory Yellow Pad – The School Supply You'll Always Need

No matter how digital our classrooms become, one thing never changes: teachers will always ask for yellow pad paper. Whether it's for quizzes, seat works, assignments, or surprise activities, having a Victory Yellow Pad in my bag has saved me countless times. Instead of borrowing paper from classmates, I'm always prepared whenever a teacher says, "Take out one whole sheet." It's one of the cheapest items on this list, but also one of the most useful.

Conclusion

Senior high school isn't just about getting good grades, it's also about learning how to make smart decisions, including how you spend your money. I've realized that buying things that improve my productivity and organization is far more rewarding than spending on items I'll only use once. Whether it's creating better presentations with Canva Pro, taking smoother notes with my favorite pen, studying on my iPad Air M3, staying organized with my BAGSMART Tote Bag, or keeping a Victory Yellow Pad ready for every class, each of these purchases has made my student life easier.

At the end of the day, the best investments aren't always the most expensive—they're the ones that help you learn better, stay organized, and make every school day just a little less stressful. So before you check out your next online order, ask yourself one simple question: Will this help me become a better student? If the answer is yes, then it might just be worth every peso.

5 School Essentials Every Grade 11 Student Should Invest In

by Xianne Dominique E. Tubog

Starting Grade 11 means handling more research papers, performance tasks, and group projects while managing multiple deadlines. Having the right essentials can make studying more efficient and less stressful. Here are five must-have items every Grade 11 student should consider investing in.

1.) Casio FX-991ES PLUS – 2nd Edition Scientific Calculator

This calculator is highly recommended for senior high school students for General Mathematics and General Science. It can solve fractions, exponents, trigonometric functions, and statistics, making it a reliable tool for classroom activities and examinations.

2.) Expanding Accordion File Folder (13 Pockets)

With many subjects requiring printed handouts, activities, quizzes, and research documents, this 13-pocket expanding file folder helps organize papers by subject. It also prevents important papers from getting crumpled, torn, and misplaced.

3.) Anker PowerCore 10000 Power Bank

Since gadgets like smartphones and tablets are commonly used for research, communication, scanning documents, and accessing learning materials, having a reliable power bank is very useful. The Anker PowerCore 10000 is compact, lightweight, and easy to carry inside a school bag. It provides enough battery power to charge your phone during long school days, especially when there are no available charging outlets. This helps students stay connected with classmates, complete online tasks, and avoid running out of battery during important activities.

4.) Samsung Galaxy Tab S9 FE

The Samsung Galaxy Tab S9 FE is a useful device for Grade 11 students because it comes with an S Pen that allows users to write digital notes, annotate PDF files, and organize study materials in one place. It is also helpful for making presentations, conducting research, and reading e-books. Instead of carrying several notebooks, students can keep their notes and school files in one portable device.

5.) Zebra Mildliner Double-Ended Highlighter

The Zebra Mildliner Double-Ended Highlighter is an excellent study tool because it helps students organize their notes and reviewers. Its soft-colored ink makes important information stand out without making the page look too bright or distracting. The fine-tip side can also be used for underlining keywords or writing short notes. Using different colors for different subjects or topics can make reviewing easier and more effective before quizzes and examinations.

Conclusion

Being a Grade 11 student requires good organization, preparation, and effective time management. Investing in practical school essentials can help students complete their tasks more efficiently and stay prepared for everyday school activities. Whether it is a scientific calculator for solving mathematical problems, an expanding file folder for organizing documents, a power bank for keeping devices charged, a tablet for digital learning, or highlighters for reviewing lessons, these items can make studying more convenient and productive. Choosing quality school essentials is a worthwhile investment that can help students succeed throughout the school year.

5 Things Every Senior High School Student Needs

by Raymund James Enriquez

Starting your journey into senior high school is both exciting and difficult. As we students progress into a more advanced level of education, we are expected to complete research papers, presentations, group projects, and mentally and physically demanding tasks while maintaining balance with extracurricular activities and personal responsibilities. Having the correct tools aids in making school life more productive, organized, and enjoyable.

Many students have differing needs, but there are always a few essentials that can make a significant difference in learning. Here are five things every senior high school student should consider bringing to school.

1. Apple MacBook Air – Your Academic Partner

A reliable laptop is one of the most valuable investments for any senior high school student. The Apple MacBook Air is known for its lightweight design, fast performance, and long battery life, making it ideal for assignments, conducting research, making presentations, and attending virtual classes. Its best feature is the portability it offers as students walk from classroom to classroom; its lightweight design keeps it from being a hindrance.

2. Pilot G-2 Ballpoint Pen – A Simple but Essential Tool

Despite the advancement of technology, the use of the ballpen is far from being phased out. Taking notes and more is an essential part of being a student in senior high school. The Pilot G-2 Ballpoint Pen is known for its smooth ink flow, comfortable grip, and durability, making it a trusted choice among students.

3. Samsung Galaxy S25 – Stay Connected and Organized

A smartphone is more than just an entertainment device. It aids students in communicating with classmates and teachers, accessing educational platforms, managing schedules, setting reminders, and quickly searching for information. The Samsung Galaxy S25 delivers incredible performance, impeccable battery life, and high-quality cameras that are useful for scanning documents, recording video projects, and researching for projects alongside the laptop.

4. Hydro Flask Water Bottle – Stay Hydrated Throughout the Day

Many days in Senior high will be physically and mentally demanding. Staying hydrated helps enhance concentration, memory, and general well-being. A Hydro Flask keeps drinks cold for extended periods of time with its double-wall vacuum insulation, making sure that students always have access to refreshing water. It is also environmentally friendly compared to disposable plastic bottles.

5. JBL Tune 770NC Headphones – Focus Without Distractions

We all know that putting groups of kids in an enclosed space is a recipe for noise, which is bothersome for people trying to study. The JBL Tune 770NC headphones feature Active Noise Cancellation (ANC), which allows students to concentrate on reading notes, educational videos, or study sessions without distractions. The comfortable and sleek design of the headphones puts any competition to shame.

Conclusion

Success does not solely depend on the gadgets you have, the brands of those gadgets, or any of that manner. It depends on the dedication, the passion, the work you put into your academics. Although having these gadgets does make your work and life way easier, it is not a replacement for hard work. These five items are here to support your journey in high school: to stay organized, to write notes, to connect with others, to keep hydrated, or to focus or relax.

Always remember that the best equipment can only support you and not do your work for you; you are what you make yourself. Use these tools wisely, stay motivated, and make the most of your senior high school experience.
